EQUINE BOWEN THERAPY
ABOUT BOWEN.
The Bowen Technique is a completely new concept in body treatment. It is neither derived from, nor similar to, any other therapy available today for horses and humans. EBT has been recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a form of physiotherapy for horses but what exactly is it?
EBT involves a series of gentle, non invasive connective tissue moves applied to key points on the horse’s body. It is an effective hands-on technique that addresses the whole central nervous system, lymphatic system and circulatory system, promoting healing, pain relief and energy rebalancing.
EQUINE BENEFITS.
As horses are prone to injuries, stresses and strains due to their hectic athletic life styles, they often respond very well to equine Bowen therapy. The approach can relieve a whole host of muscular, skeletal and emotional problems.
These include:
General or specific body soreness
Sluggish lymphatic system
Cold or sore back
Uncharacteristic change of temperament or deterioration of performance
One sidedness or stiffness
Uneven stride
Lameness- tendon & joint
Irregular action
Muscle atrophy
General lethargy
Respiratory problems
Recovery from illness
Emotional problems caused by pain, fear or stress
Head shy problems
Tightness in neck or back
Skeletal imbalances
And so much more!
